Background: Internet is full of articles, pictures, essays, books and what not. But how many of us can access this information in an effective way? Most of us realize that the information which we get through search is not always relevant. This poses a challenge.
And initially, there was hardly any information on the internet about India, its culture, people, lifestyle, sports, recipes etc. But now, thanks to the growing number of Indian writers, reviewers, publishers and bloggers, the internet has a vast compilation of data related to India.

Team Talk: The idea of maintaining an index of articles, pictures and videos excited us to the core. We thought it’s a best return we can give to the Indian internet community. It was a challenge and we are still in the process of fulfilling this dream of ours. We are working on more innovate features and trying to improve the interactivity on the website. Designing wise, we have entered into the ‘Release Candidate’ stage while the coding is in the Alpha stage.

Additional Info: We are so hung up on this site that we changed the design thrice before finalizing the current one. We have revised the site structure, re-done the features and even fiddled with the original code. Although there is a good amount of data on the website already, we have set a target of 1000 for ourselves before we call it a Beta Release.

Background: The tollywood industry is one of the largest film industries in India. Everyone hundreds of movies are made with billions of of rupees invested on par with bollywood. But what really captivates the audience down south apart from the heroics of their favorite stars is the glamour quotient which is quite high. These actresses are treated as goddesses and are every man’s dream. There are many actresses who are introduced every year and make it to the top within a few months if they appeal to the audience.

Team Talk: One of the popular reasons why Internet took off in India is undoubted due to the X factor. It’s not as if we have realized it so late but we never concentrated on such entertainment based websites. TollywoodGallery is our first true tollywood venture and within a span of months of its release, it has registered millions of hits. We have lined up plenty of enhancements and aim to make this the top website on the internet for tollywood. Mission Possible!

Additional Info: Although we always knew that this website had the potential to make it to the top, we were quite surprised by the response it got within a short span of its launch. The website has been optimized in such a way that the terms ‘tollywood gallery’ entered in google brings up this website on top(most of the times its the # 1 result) of many other websites which have been active since the early 2000s.

Background: India has one of the largest community base on the web led by many social networking sites like Orkut and Hi5. With more and more people accessing the internet, this presence is projected to double in the coming years. The Indian community which is split into various sub-communities like the American students, software employees, London-based students, Australia-based students and of course our own ‘in-house’ bunch of students and employees.

Team Talk: We needed a common interaction point for our own visitors who regular check in at our network websites and came the idea of DesiCommunity.in. Discussion forums are not new to WebbyIndia, MasalaSpice.com was originally started as a discussion forum in 2004 and later converted into an entertainment portal. We thought of a simple design, easy-to-use mode and minimum restrictions. The website is still in the beta stage and we haven’t launched the site completely yet.

Team Talk: When this website was created, there were hardly any good websites in terms of quality dedicated to the little wizard. The passion of the developer for the man combined with skill for development helped in making this website the most popular Tendulkar website on the web. We have revised this website plenty of times and try to keep it updated. And thanks to the website followers, we get a lot of content from them too! You can probably term this as the unofficial website of the great Sachin Tendulkar on the web.
